The first project in China to adopt 16 MW and above large capacity offshore wind turbines in bulk.
The Zhangpu Phase II project will use ultra large single unit capacity units in bulk for the first time. The larger the single unit capacity of the wind turbine, the higher the power generation efficiency, the smaller the sea area occupied, and the corresponding reduction in development and operation costs.
This project is the first offshore wind power project in southern Fujian, located in the southeast side of the Liu'ao Peninsula in Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. The total installed capacity of the project is 400 megawatts, with a total investment of nearly 6 billion yuan.
The principle of wind power generation is to use wind power to drive the blades of a windmill to rotate, and then increase the speed of rotation through a booster engine to drive the generator to generate electricity. Simply put, wind power generation is the process of converting wind energy into mechanical energy, and then converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. This process does not require fuel or radiation, nor does it generate air pollution, making it a clean energy source.
